Hello again, this time traveling on business I experienced Munich via hotel rooms, taxi's and classrooms. My first time teaching a class of whom all students spoke English as a second language, I learned to speak slower, reduce my vocabulary, and listen closely to the questions. The highlight of my trip was dinner. Each evening my co-instructor and I ventured out to a new place trying the local cuisine. We had become friendly months ago when we taught a three week class together in Dallas Texas. The company was enjoyed and appreciated, and the search for local Bavarian food proved interesting and successful.
The most enjoyable experiences of the trip took place in two separate restaurants. Both Bavarian, the first I shared a table with a 7 year old little girl and her mother, The second I shared a table with two German ladies in their twenties who enjoyed the chance to exercise their English and talk about Europe and the USA.
