Career Summary
My career started as an IBM Mainframe PL/1 and Cobol programmer moving deeper into the operating system software to develop enhancements based on the IBM 370 Assembler Language. As Customer Relationships Management systems developed using IBM's CICS online transaction processing system I managed the infrastructure for 500 seat service centre network covering home office and remote locations. During this period in the mid 1970's I led the effort to introduce release management and quality control processes in the IT department. As PC's developed my attention turned to small business and PC to Mainframe systems solutions where I spent 10 years working as a consultant and solution provider servicing customers with custom and packaged applications.
I latter returned to the corporate world specializing in marketing and sales applications. Prior to joining Siebel Systems I was Director of Sales Information Systems for a Global Hi-Tech Manufacture, where I initiated and led the strategy and development efforts which included the companies first Data Warehouse solution. Since joining Siebel Systems I have specialized in Global technical training to Management, Business Analyst, Project Management, Development, and Systems staff working on CRM solutions.
Work History
Siebel Systems, Inc. - Senior Principal Instructor and Site Manager Netherlands - August 1998 to Present
Now living in the Netherlands I am responsible for the management of the Amsterdam Training Site and for the delivery of management and technical training to audiences from around Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Focusing on quality and value for the students and working with our sales and management team, I proved to be a key player contributing to the growth of the Siebel Northern Europe and Emerging Territories education center.
Hired as a Technical Account Manager, I coordinated 3 Siebel projects for a major bank leading to a 7,500 user implementation project.
Transfering to the Education Department I became Siebel's first full time Partner Education Instructor and Curriculum Developer. Responsible for developing the Siebel Implementation Methodologies courseware taught as part of Siebel's three week Core Consulting Curriculum. Developed reviews and games used as teaching tools in the Partner Education Program. First Siebel employee to achieve Consultant Certification.
Promoted to Manager of Siebel's Partner Education program responsible for the hiring and mentoring of new instructors. Scaled the Partner Education program from 2 classes delivered monthly to 14 classes in an 8 month period. Participated in the development of new Certification Exams, and the development of a Requirements Mapping course oriented towards the Business Analyst job function. Facilitated Siebel's Partner Education Steering Committe and represented the Partner Education Program at Siebel Partner events. Delivered classes World Wide to international audiences. Responsible for scheduling all World Wide Partner Education classes and resourcing classes with instructors. Responsible for coordinating the activities of internal and Sub-Contractor resources. Responsible for approving Sub-Contractor Expenses and Purchase Orders.

deployed a 2 dimensional bar code based lead acquisition system utilized by over

Drug Systems -
Managed,
designed, developed, documented, trained users, and delivered a Long Term Health
Care pharmaceutical dispensing and tracking system.
The application utilizes hand held computers, PC's, bar codes, and remote
data communication capabilities. On a nightly schedule downloaded pharmacy data
to health care facilities for report printing and hand held computers loading.
Hand held computers are used by nurses to dispense and track medication
given to facility residents.

Designed, developed, documented, trained users, and implemented a PC control
system for an automated warehouse receiving product. PC software included the development of an X.PC error
correcting communications packet switching protocol for information transfer
between the PC and remote industrial processors.

and led a 4 month technical training course instructing MIS Systems Interns.
Interns were participating in a 2 year corporate training program.
Topics included Data Processing fundamentals, COBOL, Quality Control,
VSAM, Database development, Project Planning, and Systems design.

Apparel -

for the coordination and technical design of a 4300 based distributed shipping
control system. Developed and
taught a training program for administrative personnel covering the operations
of DOS/VSE, VTAM, and CICS. Later
called back to convert the DOS/VSE applications to MVS for central site backup
processing.
Compensation Resources, Inc. - R&D Project Manager - 1984 to 1986
Designed,
developed, packaged, documented, and supported users of the CICS front end of
Saletech, a life insurance sales illustration system. Evaluated and recommended mainframe hardware, software, and

evaluation of local area networks. Developed
